Thanks for visiting!
I am a PhD candidate in Anthropology at the University of Adelaide, South Australia, recently back from 12 months of doctoral fieldwork in Kochi, Kerala. While there I was exploring the ethics and aesthetics of the transformative dimensions of waste and waste management. More specifically, I was attuned to debates around centralized and decentralized waste management strategies, the politics of zero-waste movements, the institutional aesthetics of disposability and care, and the elemental nature of waste infrastructures.
Beyond academic worlds, I also take photos, create music, write about art, and have a history in hospitality.
I enjoy collaborating with artists, activists, and academics on projects that centre nurturing relations between and beyond humans.
